Your Role: As a Minesite Cleaning Utility, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that mine site offices, crib rooms, and toilet and shower blocks are cleaned, hygienic, tidy, and adequately stocked. This casual position involves a rotating roster, offering a unique opportunity to become an integral part of our team in Port Hedland, Western Australia. All successful candidates must be currently located in Port/South Hedland. Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities include: Perform general cleaning tasks such as emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, and ensuring mine site offices are kept clean. Complete mine site laundry and restock supplies in offices. Ensure toilet and shower blocks are cleaned to a high standard daily and restock supplies as required. Clean and maintain crib rooms, including washing tables, mopping floors, and restocking consumables. Regularly clean and maintain cooking equipment, fridges, and other facilities. Re-arrange and re-organize furniture as required. About You: To succeed in this exciting opportunity, we’re looking for candidates with the following skills & experience: Grade 10 standard of education with the ability to read, write, and perform numerical calculations. Manual Drivers License, Class C. At least 6 months' work experience in a similar role, preferably in the commercial hospitality industry (desirable). Experience in cleaning within a food environment and/or housekeeping environment. Experience in cash handling (desirable). Physical Requirements: High level of general physical fitness and strength. Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 15kg, with heavier loads using appropriate aids. Stand, walk, bend, stretch, twist, and reach for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Tolerance for working in various environmental conditions and extreme temperatures. Ability to operate vehicles and mechanical aids, such as a pallet jack and compactor.
