Due to an exciting project coming up within the State government, they are looking for exceptional candidates with experience in Project administration.
Role Overview:
As a Project Assistant you will provide essential support to the project management team in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various initiatives. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, escalating them as necessary.
- Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing vendors and obtaining quotes.
- Support in the preparation of project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Undertake research and analysis to support project decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project support or administrative roles, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
