The role:

The External Reporting Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Organisation complies with all Accounting Standards and Tax legislative (FBT and GST) requirements. As part of the finance leadership team, this role will also provide direction and guidance to the External Reporting team and the broader Finance team. A focus on continuous improvement is also essential.

This is a full-time permanent position based in our Head Office in Belmont.

Some of the responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, including monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Manage the associated external audit process
  • Effectively manage the organisational cashflow requirements
  • Preparation of annual FBT returns and supporting documentation,
  • Prepare monthly BAS
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for Metro and Country operations
  • Regularly review and update organisational financial policies
  • Oversee the Insurance functions within the organisation.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role in a finance team
  • Advance level excel skills
  • Experience in BAS and FBT requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills (i.e. liaising with financial auditors)
  • Qualified CPA/CA with a minimum of 5 years experience
