About the opportunities
The Department is establishing a pool of suitable Level 4 to Level 7 candidates for our financial External Reporting and Emergency Management team, with four (4) permanent full-time positions available for immediate filling.
The Level 4 Assistant Accountant will provide client focused and value-adding financial accounting services for the Department maintaining financial information, delivering reports and assisting on financial projects and programs as required. The Assistant Accountant will contribute to continuous improvement and innovative customer-focussed objectives and goals.
The Level 5 Accountant will contribute to developing and delivering value-adding and client focused financial accounting services to various business areas within the Department.
The Level 6 Senior Finance Business Partner provides value-adding financial accounting services to the Department and undertakes preparation, coordination and review of statutory financial reporting requirements for the Department. This position contributes to the DPIRD Budget Strategy program and Budget Estimates cycle and supports the Department’s incident and Emergency Management activities.
The Level 7 Principal Finance Business Partner provides strategic leadership and direction in the provision of value-adding financial management services to the Department and manages the preparation, coordination and review of statutory financial reporting requirements for the Department. The Principal Finance Business Partner leads a team that partners with business units to help inform sound financial decision-making and deliver proactive financial solutions and support services. This position also contributes to the DPIRD Budget Strategy program and Budget Estimates cycle, through Treasury liaison and contributes to the financial reporting for all Incident and Emergency Management responses within the Agency, including cost share agreements.
