Extruding pipe to precise measurements and quality standards requires attention to detail and monitoring skills. For the process to run well, it needs to start well. Once the process is underway it is about minimising downtime by making adjustments when required and rectifying problems at the root cause, and not generating scrap.
This site works on a 24/5, 8 hour shift roster pattern, rotating weekly through Day Afternoon and Night shift. There are multiple casual positions available in Derrimut.
About You
You will have some relevant experience but equally important is your willingness to learn new skills and your desire to apply them constructively and safely as a member of a supportive team. Ideally you will have previous experience controlling a process or operating machinery in a manufacturing environment where safety is paramount. Along with that you will need to be able to demonstrate:
Know-how and understanding of quality control, safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures Mechanical aptitude and an ability to use hand tools A strong work ethic with reliability and commitment
