Role Overview:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and smooth processing of orders. Primarily based in the despatch area, this role demands being on your feet for most of the day, packing orders in bubble wrap and assembling cartons to ship our products across Australia. You'll also need to book consignments on the computer, arrange pallet loads of goods, and ensure that everything is ready for daily afternoon pick-ups by couriers. This position requires proactive time management, attention to detail, and a dedication to minimising errors. The successful candidate will also maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, order processing, and despatching.
- Coordinate freight bookings using online portals such as Interparcel and myTNT.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain shared spreadsheets for order management using Google Apps or Microsoft Excel.
- Create and print essential warehouse documents.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations while ensuring a clean and organised workspace.
- Safely operate and maintain the company forklift throughout the day, receiving deliveries and loading outbound pallets onto trucks.
- Handle large parcels, pack boxes, and manoeuvre shipments when necessary.
Essential Requirements:
- Forklift licence.
- Experience with the TNT/FedEx online portal for freight bookings.
- Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on reducing errors.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
- Competency in Google Apps for business, particularly in contributing to shared spreadsheets.
- Fit and healthy, capable of the physical labour requirements of the role.
Additional Considerations:
- Prior experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Some knowledge and understanding of export requirements when lodging international shipments.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
