Supporting families in Melbourne since 2006, we're an established, highly regarded private practice, and a really fun and caring place to work.  We have clinic sites in Melbourne's north and west (Northcote, Coburg, Footscray and Eltham) and school contracts across Melbourne.

Location and hours: 
  • Well located clinics, close to public transport (and good coffee and great restaurants, pubs and shops)
  • School contracts located all across Melbourne
  • Priority placed on workplace flexibility and work-life balance
  • 0.6 EFT (minimum) - to full time (flexible days and hours)
  • Minimum 2 days school based services, + other days in clinic or community (based on your preferences) 
  • Online / WFH days supported

Role Description:
  • As part of our team of 15 SPs and 3 AHAs you'll have a clinical caseload based in schools and the clinic setting (minimum 2 days in schools, more if school based work “fills your bucket”).
  • Within the practice, you'll work across a base clinic with some outreach days, and connect with different team within the practice depending on your caseload and location. 
  • You'll work at a school site as part of our clinical team (up to 5 of our therapists) assessing and treating, and supporting staff and students.
  • Leadership opportunities include working in our PD program as a mentor, running AHA programs, or working as a Lead Clinician on school sites

Really Important Criteria:
  • are smart, practical, kind, lovely and generally fabulous with a good sense of self outside of your work
  • have a good understanding of how to meet your own needs within your a workplace
  • enjoy working in a school based setting and engaging with teaching staff
  • 3+ years experience in working with paediatric and school aged clients (early intervention through to adolescent) with speech, language or communication needs
  • experience in working with students with complex communication needs
  • superb time management skills, attention to detail and excellent communication
  • warm, genuine manner, well developed interpersonal skills, and an ability to foster rapport with a diverse range of clients and staff
  • passionate about providing an excellent, evidence based service for clients and their families
  • interested in mentoring and problem solving with your colleagues
  • seeking a dynamic, flexible and innovative workplace

Nice to Have Criteria:
  • a good understanding of what aspects of our work “fill your bucket”
  • have previous experience in mentoring and supporting staff in the workplace
  • enjoy the provision of consultative services and education
  • demonstrated ability to design and develop assessment or therapy programs
  • experience in both tele-health and in person service delivery
  • recent graduates are encouraged to apply
