The role

Reporting to our Project and Facilities Manager, you will be an integral member of our Facilities Team. The Facilities and Groundskeeper is responsible for miscellaneous duties including grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance, cleaning and deliveries. Duties are to be completed in an effective and efficient manner whilst complying with safe work procedures. The role is primarily based at Coombabah on the Gold Coast but some travel to other sites will be required at times.

• Grounds maintenance: mowing, gardening, pruning, tidying
• Cleaning: high-pressure water cleaning, sweeping, general cleaning duties
• Facilities maintenance: general duties requested by manager
• Stock control: assist team with deliveries, unpacking, storing and distribution

About you 

You will be a friendly, energetic, self-motivated and organised individual who takes pride in the presentation of our facilities. You can work autonomously, make sound decisions, manage time effectively and thrive on having an area of responsibility in our organisation. You will work well with others due to your ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Key criteria

• Availability: able to work 15 hours during weekdays, happy to discuss your availabilities.
• Experience: minimum 1-year in a similar role.
• Safe work: this is a physically demanding role, must be able to comply with safe work procedures for self and others.
• Verbal skills: friendly and professional with individuals from various backgrounds.
• Organisational: ability to manage time and competing priorities, demonstrating timely response periods.
• Drivers Licence.

Desirable

• Flexibility to work additional hours if required.
