OUR SCHOOL

St Aidan's is a Prep to Year 12 Anglican day school for girls, with a co-educational Kindergarten. Located in Corinda, with a population of over 1000 students, reflecting our belief that students experience many benefits in a smaller school.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Facilities Officer to work as part of a team in maintaining the functionality and safety of the School’s facilities by providing minor building, grounds and facilities maintenance, assisting with events and function setup and pull down, traffic marshalling, pool operations, occasional bus driving and general facilities duties. 

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures and safe work practices in general, including monitoring and addressing safety hazards and security concerns 
  • Set up and pack down of material and equipment for functions and events
  • Support the School’s traffic management arrangements by providing traffic marshalling duties during peak school times
  • Provide general building and facilities maintenance services within a skill set
  • Assist with grounds maintenance work ensuring the School’s grounds are in optimal condition 

ABOUT YOU

  • Be energetic with a positive can-do attitude and the physical capability to perform the required tasks in a predominantly outdoor environment.
  • Hold a current drivers licence.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with members of the School and the wider community. 
  • Excellent understanding of OH&S issues as they relate to facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve shared goals, often in tight timeframes.
  • An ability to hold a Working with Children – Blue Card as issued by the Queensland Government.
  • An ability to hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
