The RoleWith a focus on effective operations and business activities of the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub, the Facilities Operations Officer is great opportunity to be part of the Town of Port Hedland's leading youth precinct.
Within this role, you will effectively manage the operational requirements and business activities of the Hub while delivering improvements to business processes. Your role will also include having the responsibility for administration functions of the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub, including purchase orders, invoicing, correspondence, bookings, and venue hire. You will work closely with local organisations, clubs and NFP's, while having a strong focus on providing high level customer service to the community as well as internal stakeholders. With your experience in leading a dynamic team, you will also work to create a great team environment within the Hub.
Our ideal applicant will have excellent time management skills, high attention to detail and have a proactive attitude. You will require experience in facility operations while also being able to demonstrate experience with staff management.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing of a wide range of new technologies, a large capital works program, and a number of other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work.

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Card (or willing to obtain)
