We are seeking a motivated and innovative individual for the position of Facility Manager at Council’s Gregadoo Waste Management Facility.

Your new role:
This position is responsible for the delivery of Council’s financial, operational, environmental and strategic performance outcomes for the management of waste disposal services within the Wagga Wagga City LGA.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Lead the Waste Management Team in delivering high quality and sustainable waste services including landfill operations and transfer stations;
- Deliver innovative solutions to reduce and re-use waste streams;
- Delivery of complex capital projects related to the functional areas;
- Manage and review Council's waste related policies and strategic direction, prepare, monitor and manage annual budgets and ensure compliance process and legislative requirements are maintained;
- Extensive liaison with consultants and authorities, public communication and education, preparation of technical reports and advice, and contract/project control; and
- Management and negotiation of contractual tenders.
What you will need to succeed:
The successful applicant will possess relevant qualifications with technical expertise in landfill and compliance operations. Possess a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, strong communication and negotiation skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders and a strategic and innovative focus to drive and grow business opportunities.
