The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and focused Facility Manager to join the team at Henry Kendall Gardens.

Set within 100 acres of subtropical rainforest and landscaped gardens, Henry Kendall Gardens offers picturesque surroundings, quality facilities and a vibrant and supportive village environment, based in Wyoming, on the beautiful Central Coast.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the project management of Property works and at Henry Kendall Gardens. This role involves supporting the maintenance team, coordinating with external contractors and ensuring that all facilities and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. 

Reporting to the Village Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate records related to maintenance, budgets, resident services, and any other important information for the smooth running of the facility
  • Working alongside the sales team to ensure homes are ready for occupation by competing sales unit inspections – post vacate inspections, condition reports & pre settlement inspection
  • Oversight of Capex projects and insurance claims
  • Working with the Village Manager in developing and managing budgets for the facility relating to maintenance and Capex, including tracking expenses, negotiating contracts with vendors, and finding ways to improve efficiency while reducing costs
  • Negotiating contracts, ensuring quality of work, and managing billing.
  • Managing safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring that emergency procedures are in place and understood by all staff and residents
  • Acting as a liaison between residents, staff, and management, keeping everyone informed about changes in policies, property or maintenance related projects or any other important updates
  • Managing and supporting the maintenance team, providing guidance and training as required 
  • Addressing resident needs and concerns relating to the facility and ensuring that residents have access to necessary services required.

Your Background

  • 3+ years project experience or proven experience as a project manager or experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate computer literacy 
  • Team management experience 
  • Great customer service and an ability to relate to retirees
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations
  • Organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Ability to supervise and liaise with contractors 
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Level 2 First Aid certificate (or be willing to obtain one)

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining.
