The core responsibilities of the Facility Supervisor is to ensure correct handling of product to meet customers’ requirements including grading, packing, cool chain, hygiene and dispatch.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Ensure daily operational plans meet the requirements of internal customers and enable successful realisation of production targets – daily/weekly/monthly while complying with company policy.
- Assess incoming product for quality and ensure it meets customer expectations. Document results.
- Monitor quality and movement of product through the various stages of production (Live Farmer).
- Rectify any issues due to mechanical damage/grading quality.
- Resolve daily workflow issues, ensuring cool chain integrity.
- Liaise with Harvest Supervisor/Maintenance Manager/Dispatch Manager as required.
- Manage correct cool chain functions when handling and dispatching product.
- Ensure all personnel are trained and performing as per standard procedures and develop and maintain a staff training matrix.
- Ensure all waste products are handled as per standard procedures.
- Ensure all dispatches are as per standard procedures.
- Undertake departmental duties as required, maintaining the QA requirement of product traceability data (Live Farmer).
- Compile and verify quality records, including bath wash and metal detector CCP.
- Undertake retention samples and record results.
- Monthly GMP Audits and development of corrective actions.
- Monthly Environmental swabs and corrective action plans.
We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A relevant AQF Cert III or IV or equivalent OR 3 years employment plus relevant formal training OR at least 5 years employment experience as a Facilities Supervisor (if no formal training).
- Exposure to and/or experience in all responsibilities shown above.
- Current Driver’s License.
- Demonstrable experience managing/supervising within a quality-controlled environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills,.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
- Ability to work independently and contribute as a valued member of the team.
- Physically fit for the inherent requirements of the role.
