This is a hands-on role based in Broadmeadows
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision:
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Implementation and Execution of the Asset Care strategy
• Drive and Sustain Reliability KPIs
• R&M labour, material and maintenance service contract costs managed to budgets.
• Quality & environmental critical controls & statutory maintenance is delivered on time.
• Providing support to Real time delivery of production plan
• Supervision and leadership of timely Breakdown rectification
• Corrective and preventive actions are identified for unexpected failures and implemented at pace.
• Execution of Planned Maintenance Activities & Maximise Resource utilisation.
• Support Continuous/ Focused Improvement activities.
• Leverage technology Solutions to improve asset care delivery.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to operations.
• Assign tasks to team members based on skills, priorities, and workload.
2. Technical Expertise:
• Possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or HVAC systems, depending on the nature of the facility or equipment being maintained.
• Stay informed about new technologies and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to find solutions and always see the possibilities instead of barriers. (Action orientated)

3. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
• Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, coordinating quick and effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and spare parts used.
- 4. OH&S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Compliance:• Enforce and promote adherence to safety protocols and regulations.• Enforce GMP standard and food safety polices.• Ensure the lines get cleaned and sanitise before handing over to production team after carrying out maintenance tasks.• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.• Training and Development.• Identify training needs within the team and facilitate training programs to enhance technical skills.• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the maintenance team.5. Communication:• Communicate effectively with other shift leaders, management, and cross-functional teams.• Provide regular updates on maintenance activities, equipment status, and potential issues.

Skills and Experience:
- Full unrestricted Australian working rights
- Commercial electrician experience
- Knowledge of VSD (variable speed drives, ABB, Danfoss, Power flux, servo drives) and servo motors
- Previous demonstrated experience in fault finding, project work, ordering spare parts, MAINT PLAN routines, GMP practices
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience working with various makes of PLC's including Allen Bradley, Siemens etc Including programming skills
- A good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to work a rotating roster and flexibility with regard to a 7 day a week 24 hour operating environment including breakdown and project work.
- Understanding of working within GMP guidelines
- Previous experience working in a Food environment viewed favourable
