Factory Scheduler

Job Description:
Mars Ballarat is seeking an efficient and dynamic Factory Scheduler for a 12-month maternity leave contract.
As the Factory Scheduler you will play a large role in ensuring the production line operates smoothly and efficiently, being able to respond quickly to an ever changing environment. You will be responsible for the creation, issuing and management of daily production schedules in line with the supply plan, with a focus upon optimising efficiencies.
This role is paramount to an efficient production team, acting as a conduit for the information flow to and from the factory floor. Ensuring any change process is clearly communicated in a timely manner to ensure an aligned view on the conformance to schedule.
What are we looking for?

• Work with operations to ensure the schedule is achievable based on shift crewing
• Support new product launches and run-outs in the weekly schedule, ensuring they are planned within the scheduling timeframe
• Work with the operations team to re-plan production misses and own the change control and communication of change processes
• Updating the production schedule daily and reporting on any changes as they occur
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and be the expert in solving any unplanned issues that arise
• Work with the operations team to break down the weekly production plan into detailed and achievable measures.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, proven ability to work under pressure
• Agile and flexible approach to handle changing work requirements and competing priorities
• Strong sense of purpose and urgency, with great problem-solving skills
• FMCG experience is preferred, but not essential
• Confidence in running meetings & providing regular updates to management
• Experience in SAP & strong Excel skills is essential
• Build strong relationships and engage across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
