With over 25 centres nationally, we have supported thousands of children and their families for more than 30 years. About the Position

We are looking to welcome a Family and Child Therapist to provide high quality therapeutic interventions for children and young people within the Individual Support Services (ISS) Program.

This position is classified Level 6 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $102,555 – $107,080 plus super. We offer excellent salary packaging options which can significantly increase your take home pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an outstanding therapeutic service to children and young people.
  • Enhance psychosocial and developmental outcomes for children and young people impacted by trauma.
  • Encourage and strengthen supportive relationships with adult caregivers.
  • Work with ISS team members, other professionals, and agencies to enhance client outcomes.

About You

  • Tertiary degree in psychology, speech pathology or occupational therapy.
  • Professional registration (if required) and membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
  • At least five (5) years’ experience working therapeutically with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five years’ experience working in similar roles.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
