About the role:
The Child and Family Therapist position is located at Carinity Communities – Wahroonga, this facility provides therapeutic trauma informed services and support for children and young people (up to 17 years old) who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, and domestic and Family violence. Therapeutic services are also available for protective care givers, siblings and/or anyone working with a child or young person who has been through these experiences.
The position is part time; However, full time hours will be considered.

Responsibilities include put are not limited to:
- Monitoring the level of risk to children and families engaged within the program and actively raise awareness about youth Suicide Prevention, Youth Mental Health, Child Safety and Domestic Violence within the Community.
- Providing an outstanding therapeutic service to children, young people and their families.
- Building referral pathways to grow and sustain the business.
- At least two years' experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or experienced abuse and neglect, or at least five years' experience working in similar roles.
- Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
- Demonstrated clinical and therapeutic understanding of the impacts of trauma on Child and Family functioning.
