ABOUT THE ROLE
WeSupportU’s Senior Occupational Therapist provides high quality,person-centred therapy services to children, young people and adults livingwith disability in Bayside Peninsula Melbourne. The Senior OccupationalTherapist sits within an experienced team of health professionals includingspeech pathologists, exercise physiologists, therapy assistants and counsellors. Within the role is the opportunity to havean ongoing relationship with your clients and the reward of seeing theirsituations improve as well as fostering and supporting the development of OccupationalTherapists and students.
Full-time or Part-time considered.
Attendance at the office (Cheltenham and/or Frankston locations) is required however there are options to work a hybrid model for the administrative components of the role.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
● Tertiaryqualifications in Occupational Therapy and associated registration with AHPRA
● Aminimum three years of experience in Occupational Therapy
● An ability to effectively support,mentor and lead fellow Occupational Therapists
● Preparedness to work outside normal workinghours when required
● Genuineinterest and passion for working with people with a disability
● A working knowledge of the NDIS, andexperience in working with participants to achieve their goals in linewith their NDIS plan
● Ability tomanage a caseload and complete timely case notes
● Acommitment to evidence-based assessment and intervention approaches
● Theability to manage challenging situations
● Willingnessto undertake ongoing training relevant to the position
● Effectivecollaboration and multidisciplinary team membership to support interventions
● Computer literacy in Word, Excel, clientdatabases and the Internet
● Ownvehicle and current driver’s licence
● Ability and willingness to travel within the Greater Metropolitan area
Other relevant Information
- The incumbent must hold work rights to hold a permanent full-time position in Australia
- A current Victorian drivers’ licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel throughout greater Melbourne is required
- This role requires satisfactory pre-employment compliance evidence including Working with Children Check, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening and evidence of Covid 19 vaccination
- The incumbent is required to participate in the annual Goals and Performance Review program
