The Role
As our next Family Counsellor, you will assist separated families, in high conflict, work out parenting arrangements; you will encourage consideration of what is in the Child's best interest. With your skills and experience, you will be crucial at providing high-quality services to families experiencing separation, utilising interventions including family counselling, parent and child group work and child-inclusive processes to achieve workable parenting arrangements in line with all regulatory and organisational guidelines and policies

Your Experience
To be eligible for this role, we seek a candidate who holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Counselling or equivalent.
You will be a person who brings specialist knowledge with the Family Law Act 1975, the child and family service system and the legal system relevant to separating families. Your adept communication skills, both written and verbal, are paramount, coupled with high levels of emotional intelligence with a demonstrated sensitivity and an ability to empathise while communicating ideas that may be perceived as challenging or complex.
