The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paralegal / Legal Secretary to join our Family Law Team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Family Law team with a wide range of Family Law matters.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities in this role include:
- handling initial enquiries from potential new clients;
- forming and holding relationships with clients;
- client liaison / client meetings;
- managing diaries and scheduling appointments;
- drafting all required correspondence on files;
- drafting court documents;
- Management of disclosure and documents; and
- Accounts – billing, receipting
Experience/Qualifications Required
The successful candidate must:
- have experience in Family Law role (Law Students welcome);
- be organised with an ability to prioritise;
- possess initiative so as to assist in management of the respective files;
- be independent and capable of working unsupervised;
- have a high attention to detail and neatness;
- be well presented with a good work ethic;
- have excellent oral and written communication skills;
- have an advanced understanding of Microsoft Office and be confident with the use of Microsoft Word / editing and formatting documents; and
- experience with LawMaster would be advantageous but is not essential.
