As the Family Liaison Advisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, display well-developed communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to engage in a discreet manner, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. You will be responsible for developing and implementing work programs and policies on behalf of the Staff and Family Support Office. You will also have highly-developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing policy advice at all levels.
The key duties of the position include
- Provide briefings/debriefings and policy advice to officers and spouses undertaking and returning from overseas postings;
- Contribute to program development and implementation for the Family Liaison function within the Staff and Family Support Office;
- With limited supervision, develop and deliver appropriate training modules in support of officers and spouses;
- Manage and report on an internal personnel database;
- Assist to develop and implement policies and initiatives to Support Officers and their families, both in Australia and overseas, across a wide range of issues; and
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
