As the Family Violence Practitioner, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting victim-survivors. Your role is to provide not only support to children, young people, and families through safety planning and service referral but to also advocate for their needs to further enhance their overall well-being and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families affected by Family Violence, including initial and ongoing
- Create safety plans, family action plans, and make appropriate referrals for children and families
- Determine, evaluate, and prioritise the clients’ risks, and respond accordingly
- Collaborate with others in a multidisciplinary team setting
Skills and Abilities
- A tertiary degree level in Social Work or equivalent that meets the minimum mandatory qualification framework
- Experience as a Practitioner in the Child, Youth, and Family services field
- Understanding of the Best Interest Principles and its application to cases
- Demonstrated understanding of the gendered nature of Family Violence and trauma informed support
