Be a valued part of our Family Violence Services team and provide important services to adults affected by Family Violence. You will be responsible for exercising professional judgement in the provision of safe, effective and efficient services as part of the multidisciplinary Family Violence Service under the general direction of the Team Leader.
Your Role:
- Assist adults to recover from their experience of Family Violence through the provision of information, assessment, counselling, referrals, group work, and other appropriate forms of therapeutic intervention.
- Provide information and support, referral and advice to clients and other service providers.
- Assess and monitor the ongoing risk and safety needs of the adults affected by Family Violence who access the service.
- Identify, develop, provide or purchase the services required to meet the needs of adults affected by Family Violence.

The Team:
The Family Violence Service is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team established through the Government’s Safe at Home initiative. You will be well supported in this role with regular professional supervision and performance reviews provided by the Team Leader.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $71,441 to $107,878 per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or in the case of self-regulated allied health professions with either full membership or eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- Current Working with Children Registration
