AddressAPG Workforce are currently seeking a Farm 2IC & 3ICfor a well-known company supplying quality fresh eggs to the retail marketplace.
Based in Pheasants NSW, this is a hands-on role that will assist and report directly to the Farm Manager.
We are looking for candidates with STRONG livestock/poultry/egg experience or transferable skills from a hands-on agriculture industry to hit the ground running.
Duties of the Role:
- Operate and manage Pheasant Nest farm.
- Collect and prepare eggs for transport to Grading Floor
- Maintain Animal Health & Welfare Standards
- Maintain Product Quality and Food Safety Standards
- Maintain shedding, equipment, farm grounds and surrounds.
- Maintain production and flock performance records.
- Assist with construction and site upgrades.
- Liase with management
- Implement company policies and protocols with regard to Quality Assurance, Animal Welfare, and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Provide relief to Farm Manager/ 2IC if or when required
- Assist with the management of other livestock (i.e. cattle, sheep etc) which may be placed on the property from time to time under the direction of Senior Management
- Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
- Possession of full Australian work rights is required.
- Must be physically fit with the ability to work in a manual physical environment.
- Forklift/Tractor Licence and MR/HR Licence are preferred, while ChemCert certification is desirable.
- A positive, friendly demeanor, and a team-oriented approach are essential attributes.
