AddressAn established family farm at Euston has a position available for a Farm Machinery Operator to work across all aspects of the business. The farm produces a variety of dry land and irrigated crops.
Reporting to the manager, your duties include operating modern GPS guided Ag machinery to prepare, plant, spray and harvest a variety of crops, pivot irrigation, grain handling, operating forklift, mechanical and general farm maintenance.
The position can be casual or full time and is best suited to an enthusiastic team worker and skilled tractor operator with plenty of energy and good practical ability who shows initiative and enjoys variety in their work.
You will need demonstrated tractor operating experience, a driver’s licence, and your own vehicle to travel to work. Previous self-propelled spraying experience, a truck licence, potato harvester operating and a Chemcert with the ability to handle chemicals are preferred but not essential, and the farmer will teach row cropping to a competent tractor operator who shows commitment to their work and provides other opportunities for upskilling.
You can set your own weekly work schedule with big hours available and when your work for the week is complete, your time is your own.
Schooling and essentials are available in Euston and Robinvale, and all your other needs are met in Mildura. And you can talk to the farmer about furnished accommodation.
