At Viridis Ag, with the support of Macquarie Asset Management, we have established a high performing team that are successfully running a large-scale broad acre cropping enterprise. We have 12 farms across 120,000ha in 3 states, and are continuing to invest in Australian farming.
Oodnadatta Farms is a Viridis Ag owned and operated broad acre cropping farm, located approximately 35k's north of Moree, straddling the Newell. We run an 18 metre full controlled traffic system, with the latest John Deere gear, across the 15,700 hectares, utilising precision ag technologies and thinking.
About the role
Reporting to our GM Operations, this is a leadership role, empowered to run a safe, profitable and low carbon operation. Your primary accountability is to develop and maintain a high performing team that delivers the business plan. You will own the strategy for the farm, working with your team to develop then execute the crop plan and budgets within the framework of our production and HSE systems. You will also work closely with your peer group and the Albury office on business wide improvement opportunities.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will have at least 5 years' experience successfully managing a cropping enterprise. You will enjoy leading people, and have a passion for seeing them grow. Given the nature of our business, you will need a working knowledge of good governance as it relates to a cropping enterprise at an operational level.
