We are currently searching for a process supervisor to oversee the day to day operations of our macadamia dehusking and sorting facility near Bundaberg.
This role will suit someone who has exceptional communication skills, great organizational abilities and looking for a stable long-term career.
About CLM Farm services:
CLM Farm Services manage multiple macadamia orchards in the Bundaberg region as well as a large dehusking and sorting plant capable of processing 2,000 tons per year plus room for expansion.
About the facility:
The facility is brand new and about to commence its first year of operation.
It is equipped with state-of-the-art dehusking machines and colour sorters to ensure optimal quality.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for everything from scheduling deliveries, to dehusking, sorting, sampling, drying and finally dispatch.
Reporting directly to the operations manager, you will need to possess an exceptional ability for record keeping, be a motivated problem solver as well as quite mechanically minded.
Some of the main key responsibilities will include:
- Implement and then follow operational and safety procedures for all equipment.
- Provide guidance and leadership to other staff on the team
- communicating and co-ordinating with growers and contractors such as electricians, truck drivers and equipment manufacturers.
- Identify and diagnose equipment that require preventative maintenance or repair
- Identify practices that will improve the output or efficiency of the plant
Depending on the macadamia season and maintenance requirements, the facility will be non-operational for approx. 3-4 months per year (Nov-Feb) During this time there is wide range of other work available depending on the skills and interests of the successful applicant such as machine operating, Irrigation, mechanical repairs, carpentry etc, Or, this time may be used to take an extended holiday
