Farm Technician

Patane Produce is a thriving, family owned South West company with a reputation for growing vegetables of outstanding quality.  We supply our produce to local markets, supermarkets and export.

We are seeking highly driven and capable individuals who are reliable and enthusiastic.

A full-time permanent position exists within our Vegetable Growing and Packing Business located in the Myalup area (South West of WA).

The persons for this role will have the following key attributes and skills:

Desirable

• Horticultural knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of vegetable production including but not limited to

            1. Planting /seeding, 

            2.  Harvesting – Potatoes, Carrots and Onions

            3. Use of tractors, trailers, planters and forklifts

• Demonstrated capability and experience in ground preparation (rotary hoeing)
• Applications of fertilisers, crop monitoring & spraying
• Ability to operate heavy machinery (loaders, small trucks, etc.)
• Flexibility with working hours (early mornings/part weekends/additional hours during peak seasons)
• A safety conscious mindset, manage risks and incidents in accordance with WHS system
• Ability to handle the completion of general paperwork
• A good attitude & strong work ethic, well organised, methodical, and timely
• Chemical Accreditation Certification (very desirable)
• Basic understanding and capability of carrying out general maintenance of machinery being operated

Essential requirements

• A current "HR" Class Drivers Licence (required for driving tractors on public roads) 
• A current High-Risk Licence - Forklift Ticket (LF)
• Be capable of working autonomously as well as in a team
• Experience operating tractors
