About the role:
Join our highly performing Safety Strategy, Human Factors & Analytics team for a 12-month position. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in some of Australia's most stunning regional and remote areas while contributing to the rollout of a new fatigue management framework and conducting workshops nationwide for Aurizon's personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized subject matter advice and support on fatigue risk management.
- Assist the Senior Advisor Human Factors and Performance in implementing the Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS)
- Develop and draft task- and work context-specific fatigue risk assessments at the enterprise level.
- Identify and recommend initiatives to enhance and continuously improve Aurizon's FRMS.
- Analyse fatigue data and offer recommendations based on findings.
- Conduct Fatigue and Human Factors training sessions.
- Offer specialized input on Fatigue and Human Factors in safety and event learning.
- Support ongoing Human Factors improvement initiatives and project opportunities.
About You:
- Possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as psychology, Human Factors, or behavioral science (preferred).
- Demonstrate experience in Human Factors and/or fatigue within the transportation or heavy industry sector.
- Have organizational experience in applying Fatigue Risk Management Systems.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Have previous experience with shift workers and the flexibility to travel regularly.
