A mechanically minded Feedmill Operator is required for a busy cattle feedlot which has been recently expanded and boasts new modern infrastructure and equipment. You will be welcomed into the team who all enjoy the family-friendly and flexible roster.
Grain is sourced from the cropping element of the enterprise, with cattle trucked in from the business’s considerable grazing operations in the Northern Pastoral regions. You will be involved in the logistics of receiving the grain, including the unloading and loading of transport, as well as the preparation and delivery of the rations as requested by the Feedlot Manager. A HC licence is beneficial, allowing you to directly deliver the rations to the bunkers.
Your mechanical aptitude, fabrication skills and previous experience will allow you to excel in the multi-faceted role, providing you with potential career progression within an ever-developing business that values its employees. Strong communication and team skills will also be assets in this role, which will require accurate record-keeping to ensure members of the team are aware of current requirements.

The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you will have previous feedmill experience with strong record-keeping and communication skills along with the following:
- HC licence or willingness to obtain (preferable)
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain (preferable)
- Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
- Attention to detail.
- Quality organisational skills
