Overview

The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.  We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being South Australia’s largest maternity and obstetric service, and statewide Maternal Fetal Medicine service. 

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

Exciting opportunities exist for a suitably qualified Medical Practitioner to join us in the Paediatric Rehabilitation Service.

The Women’s and Children's Hospital is recognised for excellence in medical training.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation as Fellow Paediatric Rehab will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

About You

In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of high quality inpatient and outpatient and community based clinical services to WCHN inpatients and outpatients.

Essential Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner

Skills:

  • Clinical proficiency for assigned duties
  • Effective team collaboration in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Strong communication with customers and colleagues
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to change
  • Dedication to client and parent/carer involvement in care
  • Open to incorporating suggestions, feedback, and complaints for personal improvement

Experience:

  • Competent clinical experience in paediatric medicine
