Female Identified Apprentice Program MEGT are looking to recruit 1st Year Female Apprentices as part of the Big Build Woman in Trades pre-employment program in the following industries:
Plumbing
Civil Construction
Carpentry
Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker)
Ideally you will have the following:
Pre-Apprenticeship Program completed in designated field
Happy helpful personality with a strong desire to learn
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Fantastic communication skills
Excellent work ethic and physically fit
White Card
Licence and car preferred
The successful candidate must be willing to commit to an intensive pre-employment program which spans for 10 days of immersive theory and practical learning, running from 7am to 3pm daily across varying sites. Over the course of two weeks, you'll gain the skills, mindset, and safety knowledge essential for thriving in the construction industry. There will be pre-employment medical checks prior to the formal offer - police check, hearing test & colour confusion test. You also will have the ongoing support of a dedicated MEGT Field Officer through-out the apprenticeship.
