Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to join our Adelaide team.
Genea Nurses provide frontline care to our patients, supporting them along every step of their Fertility treatment. This role is unique, you be working in an office environment interacting with our patients both over the phone and face to face. Alongside clinical duties, a significant proportion of your role will involve providing patient care, support and education.
On a daily basis your role will involve:
- Patient face to face interviews and phone chats
- Collaborating with doctors and scientists coordinating care, working together to tailor unique treatment plans for each patient.
- Providing instructions to patients for the self administration of IVF drugs
- Providing results to patients over the phone and support at any point required
- Maintaining accurate patient records, clinical data entry and general administration duties associated with the role
Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (with a current AHPRA registration) or Registered Midwife who is genuinely interested in specialising in fertility for this role. Any experience in follicular ultrasound would be an advantage, along with experience in Women’s Health (however this is ideal & not essential)
You will have strong clinical skills, but also strong people skills as large component of this role involves support and counselling. We are looking for empathetic Nurses, who can build rapport and provide genuine, authentic care to our patients.
As this role is office based you will need also strong administration skills and technical competence - at Genea we work across a number of different IT systems which you will need to learn.
