Our Fertility Nurse plays a significant role in our patient’s journey. This is a unique opportunity to be directly involved in providing fertility nursing care and services to one of our esteemed Fertility Specialist who runs a high-end, personalized Obstetric and Fertility Practice in Northwest Brisbane. Based in the unique surroundings of a high-end medical private practice, your role will also include regular visits to the Monash IVF Brisbane Clinic to connect with the broader Monash IVF nursing team.
Reporting to the Nurse Coordinator of our Monash IVF Brisbane clinic, this position will be responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional fertility nursing services as directed by the Fertility Specialist within her private practice, whilst also collaborating with her team and the broader Monash IVF Nursing team, to ensure the patients receive the highest level of patient care in a professional, comfortable and nurturing environment.
In this role you will take responsibility for:
- Tailoring the coordination of fertility treatment to meet individual needs
- Undertake initial fertility education and screening of patients investigating fertility treatment options
- Undertake education sessions for patients commencing treatment
- Monitoring and managing inter-uterine insemination patients and ovulation induction cycles
- Managing and preparing the patients for surgery
- Providing pre-operative information – discussing surgery, procedures, admission and fasting times
- Post-operative care, support and advice post-surgery
- Undertake phlebotomy as required for patients
- Maintain fertility care of Monash patients up to 7 week/gestation
- Transvaginal ultrasound scanning, follicle and cycle monitoring

The ideal candidate will see their role as vital to the success of both Monash IVF and the Fertility Specialist’s vision. Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, our Fertility Nurse will be sensitive to the needs of patients and will support their wellbeing through timely and considered communication. To be considered for this role, you will bring the following:
- Current RN AHPRA registration
- Recent experience in Fertility nursing including IVF (desirable)
- Experience monitoring and managing inter-uterine insemination patients and ovulation induction cycles (desirable)
- Experience in providing pre and post operative care
- Competency in follicle scanning (desirable)
- A caring compassionate nature to nurture a patients fertility journey
- A willingness to work collaboratively within a fast-paced clinic
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- A willingness to fit in and embrace the Monash IVF Group Principles: Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment and Create.
