Our client is an independent, global mining company with operations, projects, and exploration activities across the globe. Their exploration team is looking for a Field Assistant to join their Northern Queensland project.
About the role:
You will work predominantly in the field (16/12 roster) however occasionally will be required to work in town (4/3 roster).
Responsibilities include:
- Sampling and sample processing.
- Clearing, preparation and rehabilitation of drill sites.
- General camp maintenance as required.
- Adhere to safety rules at all times.
- Assisting the Geologists where required.
About you:
- Previous experience as a Field Assistant (desirable not essential).
- Physically capable of heavy lifting.
- Enthusiastic and positive work style.
- Based in Mackay Queensland.
- Current C Class Driver’s License.
- Able to pass a medical and drug/alcohol screen.
This is a contract opportunity to get your start or continue working as Field Assistant in the mining industry.
