AddressASX listed energy infrastructure provider seeks Field Delivery Supervisor to oversee Gas Network Projects. Melbourne based position. 12 mth contract

Zoom Recruitment have partnered with a leading ASX listed energy infrastructure provider which manages and operates a diverse portfolio of gas, electricity, solar and wind assets. Currently, this organisation delivers approximately half of the nation’s gas usage and connects Victoria with South Australia and New South Wales with Queensland through their electricity transmission assets. They are also proud to be one of the largest owners and operators of renewable power generation assets in Australia, with wind and solar projects across the country.
The Role
As a Field Delivery Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that works are being carried out in accordance with the company’s safety, quality standards and procedures by way of providing coaching, support, gas industry technical knowledge and best practice solutions.
Based out of the companies Thomastown facility, you will attend a range of project sites across the Melbourne Metro area (and the occasional regional location), while promoting effective communication and working relationships between the company and external Stakeholders, field-based contractors and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and provide technical support to Field Delivery personnel and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects and related activities.
- Oversee health and safety procedures and outcomes targeting zero harm to staff and contractors
- Implement operational initiatives and procedural changes.
- Assist with the preparation and review of scope of works and cost estimates as agreed with the Project Manager.
- Identifying project delivery risks (scope, reputation, schedule, and cost) in accordance with project delivery frameworks.
- Support the Project Manager in preparing accurate project cost estimates for simple projects and daily tasks where required.
- Support the Project Manager when required in determining accurate project schedules.
- Ensure changes to scope are identified, documented, and communicated with project manager for approval.
- Maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with internal teams and all stakeholders.
- Formal trade qualifications in a relevent field.
- Extensive previous supervisory experience of between 5 and 10 years within the gas industry or a related work environment.
- Solid understanding of gas network operations, procedures, and experience in the Supervision of field operatives involved in the installation of gas mains and related services.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, site contractors and staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Strong leadership abilities coupled coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a strong awareness of safety and sustainability.
- A focus on continuous improvement and an ability to lead change as required.
- Ability to work unsupervised / autonomously while managing time.
- Ability to use computer systems for record keeping and reporting.
- Possess sound judgement & accountability.
