About the role
We are seeking experienced Excavator/Drill Fitters to join our Lake Vermont Project. As our next Excavator/Drill Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
As an Excavator/Drill Fitter, you will be required to:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on excavators and drills to ensure optimal functionality and safety
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform troubleshooting, and execute necessary repairs.
- Perform scheduled servicing and inspections according to manufacturer specifications.
- Replace parts, components, and systems as needed to maintain equipment performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and minimal equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
About you
- Mechanical/Diesel Fitting trade qualification
- Proven experience as an Excavator/Drill Fitter or similar role in the construction or mining industry
- Liebherr excavators, Sandvik and Epiroc drill experiences desirable
- Enthusiastic attitude & high performing work ethic
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and culture
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Standard 11 desirable

Roster & Conditions
- 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster
- 12.5-hour day & night shift
- A bus will be provided from Mackay, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Townsville & Bundaberg.
