About the role:
Are you an experienced Gas Fitter looking for an exciting opportunity to join Origin Energy's projects team? We are seeking skilled and motivated Gas Fitters to be part of our dynamic LPG team, focusing on completing complex gas tank installations. These installations are above the standard requirements and require expertise and precision. Working closely with our project managers, you will play a crucial role in executing our specialist Complex Projects.
While based in Brisbane, the role requires flexibility to travel interstate for extended periods as needed. A fully stocked vehicle and relevant allowances will be provided to support your work and travel requirements.
Key responsibilities:

-Complete installation of standard and complex LPG sites as directed by the Complex Project Manager
-Ensure all work is conducted safely by adhering to Origin's permit to work system
-Maintain accurate records in accordance with statutory and company requirements
-Provide expert advice on LPG gas installations to customers when required
-Conduct audits and ensure compliance of contractors, internal labour, and completed works
-Review existing installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and Origin codes
 
What you will bring:

-Trade qualification as a Gas Fitter or Mechanical Trade.
-Extensive technical experience with LPG, including tank installations, maintenance, and vaporisers
-Strong communication and relationship management skills
-Ability to read P&ID’s and layout drawings
-Flexibility to work different shift patterns and travel as required
-Willingness to work away from home base at short notice
