About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic professional Field Hydrogeologist/ Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. As part of this role, you will support the delivery of Mining projects, and primarily supervise hydrogeological testing, instruments installation and conduct site surveys. The role required rotating across multiple operational sites and involves intermittent FIFO schedule. Pivotal to the role is the ability to apply agility with clear and effective communication and collaboration skills that foster successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and coordination of field programs and activities; supervise programs and activities.
Drilling and bore construction supervision.
Conduct underground and Open-pit inflows and face mapping.
Complete hydraulic testing and sampling.
Monitoring instruments installation.
Effectively communicate with corporate hydrogeologists.
Recognise and communicate potential problems; provide potential solutions.
Maintain a professional on-site representation of the hydrogeology team.
Effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
Logistical coordination to support other hydrogeology-related tasks and water infrastructure.
Support project management and client management duties and contribute to report writing and presentation needs as projects require.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and work continually to develop business.
About you
Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology or Geoscience or Instrumentation Sensing and Monitoring qualification.
Experience in a similar Hydrogeological role or other hydrogeological-related experience will be considered if relevant competency is demonstrated.
Able to work with and maintain various types of instruments used for measurement and control.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Team approach and outcome focussed to deliver quality work.
Able to travel within Australia to various field locations and work remotely.
