We value working collaboratively with our internal & external customers to improve service delivery.About Your OpportunityReporting to our Catchment & Dam Operations Supervisor, you will carry out a range of natural resource management functions across a range of assets, including catchments and recreation facilities, in in order to provide safe and fit for purpose facilities suitable for public use.Key responsibilities:
- Respond to wildfire events and participate in the delivery of the prescribed burns program for the area.
- Work in conjunction with the Fire Management team in the planning and implementation of fire management and preventative activities.
- Deliver a range of works across the Region, including grounds maintenance, landscaping, tree planting, recreational asset maintenance, fencing, and minor capital improvements, to ensure sites and facilities are safe and fit for purpose.
- Undertake patrols on Seqwater land and on water to ensure Seqwater policies are being adhered to, and take appropriate action as required.
- Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management as a minimum; or Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management, Natural Resource Management, Horticulture (or similar); or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Possess a C Class Driver's Licence for manual vehicle (mandatory)
- Minimum three years' experience in natural resource management
- Fire Fighting Level 1 (Desirable)
- Chainsaw Level 1 and 2 Certificate (Desirable)
