Our client is seeking to find Telecommunication Riggers and Field Service Technicians for a project in multiple states in Australia - Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane
The role plays an important part in supporting the organisation by installing and maintaining telecommunications network equipment. Night work or additional working hours may be required to meet with customer outage, hazard, and network risk minimization.
Key Accountabilities
- Understanding and implementing RAN, RF, and Transmission designs.
- Work as part of a team of riggers on site
- Ability to read and interpret technical construction and site installation drawings.
- Physically install, maintain and repair radio telecommunications equipment and cabling
- Perform fault-finding and trouble-shooting as required
- Ensure all completion artefacts are provided and systems are fully completed and accepted
- Comply with all quality and HSE requirements while doing the above
Key Performance Indicators
- Install and maintain radio telecommunications equipment and cabling at the required quality level, in the allocated timeframe, and in the most efficient manner
- Minimal disruptions to existing services
- Knowledge, skills and experience
Required
- Certified Rigger (min basic) with all required OH&S certifications
- 2 or more years telecommunications rigging experience in a network rollout discipline
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings
- Demonstrated ability to prepare acceptance artefacts
- Familiarity with Optus, NBN, Telstra installation standards
- Must be able to perform structural upgrades to telco infrastructure
- Solid understanding and experience doing RF plumbing in modern and complex RAN roll out
- Good understanding of HSE aspects when working at heights and with EME
Desired (not required, but beneficial)
- Understanding of mobile networks
- Able to do sweeps and effectively use test equipment (e.g. Anritsu Site Master, PIM Tester)
- Wideband transmission experience
- Experience installing or maintaining RAN networks / equipment
- Experience working on Australian telco networks

Salary: $300.00 – $400.00 per day
