Gamma Gurus provides capital and peripheral equipment to Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology and Pre-clinical research facilities in Australia and NZ. The equipment includes therapeutic x-ray, patient motion management, biological x-ray irradiator cabinets, cabinet x-ray imaging, small animal CT, PET, SPECT and equipment typically used by medical physicists, such as water phantoms and ionisation chambers. We are a start-up company, established mid 2015 but growing rapidly with our portfolio and customer base.
Qualifications & experience
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering or applicable equivalent experience and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude
- Ability to communicate clearly with both our customers and manufacturers, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and proactive
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Hold an Australian drivers licence and be able to travel both domestically and internationally
- Be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent residency visa
- Past work experience in the medical field
- Basic knowledge of networks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred knowledge of mechanical skills (drilling, mounting) or a willingness to learn more skills in that area
- Preferred advanced knowledge of networks infrastructures, Database and DICOM
- Preferred knowledge of nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, and radioprotection
- Preferred past knowledge of radiation, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, and radioprotection
- Hold a White Card
- Hold a Radiation License
- Hold a working with children check or be able to obtain one
Tasks and responsibilities:
The position requires to live in Brisbane area with the ability to work independently from home.
The position involves providing comprehensive technical and application support for a range of medical products.
This includes on-site work, requiring the acquisition of a radiation license and a white card.
The role encompasses various tasks such as site surveys, hardware installation, customer training, acceptance testing, routine maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical and Application Support: Provide full technical and application support for customers, both on-site and remotely
- Site Surveys and Installation: Conduct site surveys, perform hardware installations of capital equipment, and ensure proper setup.
- Customer Training: Train customers on product usage and functionality.
- Acceptance Testing: Assist in conducting acceptance testing for installed products.
- Routine and Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and address corrective maintenance issues on-site and remotely
- Problem Solving: Utilize analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Flexible Work Hours: Be willing to work after hours and occasionally on weekends to avoid disruption to patient treatments or research activities.
- Travel Requirements: Travel within Australia and New Zealand for on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance. Some international travel may be required for factory training.
- Remote Work: Work from home regularly, with the possibility of changes as the company expands.
- International Travel: Ability to travel overseas for factory training sessions on equipment.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and provide remote support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of service activities.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on product knowledge and industry advancements.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members and departments.
