Reporting to the Regional Supervisor you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of specialized robotic instrumentation used in clinical diagnostic and research applications. Ideally you have experience with diagnostic analysers used in pathology; and you are an independent worker with strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills, able to provide technical service and telephone troubleshooting advice to clients. Interstate travel is required on a regular basis.

The role
- Install and repair scientific instrumentation, meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction through service excellence
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Compliance of Field service technical standards
- Monitoring of Field service policies, procedures, standards, and company to policies and procedures
- Travel required on short notice; overnight travel may be required depending on service region requirements
- Service is provided Monday through Friday, typically between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm, occasionally requiring extended workdays
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Electronics /Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Field Service experience preferred in the scientific/healthcare industry
Training and Skills
- High mechanical aptitude and good problem solving/communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of electronic measuring equipment
- Ability to work with a team
- Customer relationship skills
