This will be an initial 12 month contract with view to extend.
As an experienced Field Service Technician with Telecommunication Transmission equipment experience your role will involve the following:
Key Skills and Experience required:
- Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering or a similar field.
- Proven understanding of multiple client network topologies and associated Radio access network (RAN) and Optical / Microwave Transmission infrastructure.
- Ability to understand and implement RAN, RF, and Transmission designs.
- Installation of Ericsson radio telecommunications equipment and cabling on NBN, Telstra, Optus or other mobile network operator’s sites/structure.
- Experience in Data Centre or exchange installation.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Proven experience within a network rollout discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding and implementing RAN, RF, and Transmission designs.
- Installation and commissioning of high capacity transmission equipment.
- Desirable to have both RAN and Core/TX installation and commissioning experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical construction and site installation drawings.
- Solid understanding of NBN and/or Telstra and/or Optus installation standards.
- Decision making and problem solving skills.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Willingness to travel for 1 to 3 weeks at a time.
