Position Summary
The Field Service Technician I is responsible for frontline customer support, using technical ability to perform or assist in preventative and corrective maintenance, either on-site or remotely, using various technology, tests, and procedures. This is a customer facing role that requires excellent communication skills to troubleshoot and work through complex issues on highly specialized technology and equipment. International travel to deliver on-site services, support, major project installations, and other various duties is required.

Responds to Customer support requests and ensures a timely resolution.
Uses various modes of communication to gather information from diverse Customers regarding the technical problems or errors. Uses that information to implement solutions or provides clear, concise summary to the service team, and collaborates to support customers.
Uses technology to diagnose errors or technical problems and works with Customer to implement solutions remotely.
Participates in the assembly and installation of complex equipment, primarily as a development opportunity, and performs service and installation related tasks as assigned.
Contributes to routine preventative maintenance visits with either remote or in person supervision.
Performs duties in accordance with target metrics and KPIs as defined by senior leadership
Maintains compliance to all regulatory requirements in local jurisdictions where work is performed

In lieu of related education, 4+ years' experience in one of the following areas or a combination of these fields will be considered:
Electro-mechanical
Mechanical
Millwright
Robotics and automation
PLC / software development
Control systems
