About the Role
The Field ServiceTeam Leader is responsible for developing the skills and abilities of Field Service Technicians through training and onsite assistance. In addition to the Team Leader requirements of this role, the incumbent is also required to meet the basic responsibilities of a Field Service Technician.
This position will be supporting our TMHA Melbourne - North EastField Service division.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for technicians for operational and technical matters.
- Ensure all Technicians are abiding by TMHA WH&S and environmental policies.
- Ensure that safe work practices are used when carrying out all tasks bearing in mind customer site conditions and requirements.
- Assist the technicians in their ability to meet standard times in accordance with quoted timelines.
- Ensure all technicians are meeting the minimum standard for service van cleanliness, technician grooming and presentation standards.
- Ensure regular contact is maintained with the Field Service Controllers (FSC) & Field Service Manager (FSM).
- Assist technicians with methods to ensure labour utilisation, paperwork and operational requirements are met.
- Correct any customer issues in conjunction with the the FSC and/or FSM.
- Work with technicians to maintain inventory stock levels.
- Other tasks as requested by the FSM.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current and valid drivers licence.
- Relevant trade qualification.
- Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar associated industry.
- Experience in the maintenance of IC and/or battery electric forklifts.
- Licence to install and repair LPG systems desirable.

- Previous experience leading a team in a similar environment – desirable.
- Proven diagnostic and repair skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in training programs to increase your product knowledge and understanding of procedures, safe work practices, statutory responsibilities and licencing requirements.
