Technician Team Leader

Autosports Group is owned by one of Australia's largest prestige and luxury automotive retail groups employing approximately 1400 people across 40+ businesses nationally.

We are seeking a Technician Team Leader to join our busy and rewarding workshop.

In this role you will:

• Lead a team of 8-10+ Technicians working with 2 other teams
• Assist your team in diagnosis and repairs
• Liaise with the Workshop Controller and Workshop Foreman on required repairs 
• Liaise with the Workshop Controller and Workshop Foreman on your teams efficiency and productivity
• Quality control checks on your team and others workmanship
• Conduct vehicle diagnostics
• Complete quality service and repairs in accordance with BMW factory standards and processes
• Adhere to checklists and quality control standards
• Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete
• Maintain accurate reports
• Complete repair work and/or maintenance as per the repair order to dealership and brand requirements
• Work with other departments including sales and parts
• Keep up to date with mandatory factory training

 To be considered for the role, you will have:

• Technical qualifications as an automotive technician/mechanic
• Experience working with late model European vehicles
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics
• Basic computer skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to study and retain detailed product information
• The ability to work as part of a team which means supporting others and contributing to team discussions and improvements.
• A current driver’s licence
