About our Role
Simplot Australia are seeking applicants for the position of Field Services Operator for opportunities with our Raw Procurement Team for our 2024 potato intake season.
Based out of our Ulverstone manufacturing facility (with the potential requirement to work at other storage locations across the NW coast of Tasmania) and working across a Mon-Sat roster (0700hrs - 1700hrs) with the potential for overtime in the peak of the season, these casual roles will commence mid-March 2024 and are expected to run for a period of approx 12 weeks. This is a great opportunity for those physically fit candidates who like to work within a busy and active operational environment.
- Ordinary hourly rates of $38.35 p/h (incl. of 25% casual loading) + penalties (where applicable)

What You Will Do
Duties may include (but are not limited to the following):
- Contribute to site health & safety initiatives
- Marshalling / guiding of loaded truck and trailer / semi-trailer combinations into storage & intake areas
- Weighbridge operations / recording of data (electronic & paper based)
- Forklift operations
- Monitoring of intake conveyors to ensure quality of intake material & to rectify any obstructions
- Use of site based radio communications
- Apply operational standards and procedures
About You
- Possess a 100% commitment to safety in the workplace
- Have an eye for detail
- Confident in the use of site based radio communications
- Be physically fit with the ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours per day which may include inclement weather
- Possess a strong work ethic with a focus on being a team player and can-do attitude.
- Ability to commence mid-March and work over a Mon-Sat roster for the duration of the harvest season (approx. 12 weeks). Flexibility to work overtime at short notice if required will be highly regarded.
- Possess a current LF Forklift licence (advantageous) with the ability and willingness to work both on and off a forklift
