About the role
The Field Technician role without immediate supervision or direction, work in a fast-paced team that provides our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in the home and or business.
You actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to the corporate strategy.
There are 3 open positions available, and this role will maintain customer service in Canberra.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver seamless service rectification and product installations, to the full satisfaction of Telstra’s customers.
Complete assurance & activation of products, services & CPE, including –
- Exchange MDF, Customer MDF and Pillar Jumpering
- PSTN
- ISDN
- Pair Gain Systems
- ADSL (Simplex & Complex)
- nbn Consumer (Simplex & Complex)
- nbn Business
- OMMA
- Platinum
- BDSL
- ULL Interference Investigations
- Inspections (Poles and Network Sites)
- Power Remediation (Restore power to Network Sites)
- Power Routines (Proactive maintenance of power infrastructure in Network sites)
An employee will be required to possess and maintain the relevant and applicable licenses/qualifications to perform this role, as deemed mandatory by regulatory and legal authorities and must also possess and maintain a current driver’s license.
Ability to analyze and report results for voice, data and network technologies.
Certificate IV in Telecommunications + relevant open cabling license endorsed with Aerial (A), Underground (U).
Traffic management qualifications
An industry white card is also required.
