About the role
The IT Support Technician is responsible for working within the helpdesk to assist staff with issues both in person and via email. You will work closely with our experienced ICT team to learn and develop new skills to effectively support our growing organization.
In this role you will:
- Offer customer-centered technical support for EOS’s desktop computing environment, corporate network, hardware, Microsoft Office, business applications and peripheral devices.
- Ensure restoration of services for all systems and services by promptly responding to users’ requests
- Provide support and maintenance for in-house computer systems, including carrying out diagnosis, upgrade, repairs, maintenance, and installation of all equipment and hardware devices, as well as ensuring top performance of workstation.
- Troubleshoot remote users’ issues by applying remote monitoring and management software.
- Carry out root cause analysis and create resolutions to problems that occur frequently.
- Identify and correct a problem by performing diagnostic reviews and develop error reports.
- Develop and maintain documentation for technology and business processes for end user support.
- Carry out software upgrade for presently installed software when necessary and with authorization, or request for new software.
- Perform software imaging fulfilment and Desktop/Laptop hardware builds for projects and acquisitions.
- Perform administrative duties, including scheduling of equipment or laptop loaners, or any other services/items for company users; organize shipment to remote sites if required.
About You
As an IT Support Technician, you will be willing to learn and be responsible for technically demanding tasks. You will have a positive attitude and be a punctual and relied upon team member. You will have a high attention to detail and work effectively within a team.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or at least 3 years’ experience as a Helpdesk Technician
- ITIL V3.0 / 4.0 understanding and exposure.
- Demonstrated experience with M365 platform.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Intune and application packaging.
- Demonstrated experience with managing windows 10/11.
- Understanding of network protocols and technologies
- Knowledge of windows 2019/2022 server technologies
